Model for the Pattern-Dependent Wet Grip Prediction of Tires

چکیده
The most important task of the tire is to ensure driving safety by optimally transmitting required longitudinal and lateral forces. Although great progress has been made in past development new materials patterns, many questions remain unanswered field elastomer friction on rough surfaces. This particularly true when an additional intermediate medium introduced into contact, as for braking wet roads form water. To better understand this process, a model single-tread block road surface developed. influence fluid represented physical meaningful law. validated with results wet-braking tests internal drum test rig. can map interaction between tread, film simulation show good agreement measurement results. Based investigation individual tread blocks, approach description behavior passenger car tires was thus demonstrated, which be extended more complex geometries future.
